Jewellery designer Christine Lorde, lives in the Caribbean on the twin island of Trinidad & Tobago. She holds a BA (Honors) in Graphic Design and has been apart of the advertising and fashion industry for over 20 years.
She was the Creative Director for a well known woman's Caribbean fashion magazine for 9 years, where her love for fashion and accessories grew. Christine Wearable Art (CWA) is the culmination of 3 things that she loves - jewellery, recycling and art.
She utilises semi-precious materials, recycled materials and hand painted art in her pieces. They are all inspired by the Caribbean and her country. When combined together, unique, original, one-of-a-kind pieces are the result of what she loves. Every piece is handmade with much thought, care and love.
Christine believes that her pieces will connect with an individual, because to her, jewellery is an expression of who we truly are.
Christine is focused on recycling and helping the environment, so all fabrics used in her designs, are provided by local fashion designers, who have off-cuts. She is happy and thankful that together, they all help each other decrease what is discarded in landfills in her home land.
