The Trinidad and Tobago fashion industry is a vibrant, diverse and growing sector. The fashion industry has been earmarked by the Trinidad and Tobago government as one of the sectors targeted for growth as the country seeks to reduce its dependence on the hydrocarbon sector.
A small but dynamic sector, the industry is comprised of fashion designers, jewellery and accessories designers, functional designers, support services including models and model management agencies, creative directors and production facilities.
Over the past five years, FashionTT has stewarded the industry. Over that period the sector has grown exponentially both in size, number of designers and revenue generation. At the core of FashionTT’s plan for the local fashion industry is the Value Chain Investment Programme which offers targeted support to designers throughout the local fashion value chain.
